DISCOVER the grace and ease of Spey Casting, while adding to your fishing repertoire – giving you more techniques to catch fish! Spey casting (aka two-handed casting) originated in Scotland over 150 years ago, but has the following important applications for today’s angler:
• Easier – Requires less effort due to the ‘fulcrum effect’ created when you use both hands.
• Brush or bank behind you? No problem! Your casts ‘anchor’ in the water beside or
in front of you, reducing the normal back cast space needed.
• Change direction with ease – no false cast necessary.
• Achieve greater distance with less effort
• Two hand surf casting (overhead cast) to put the fly in front of Striper,
Sea trout, Redfish or even Pike
• Cross over applications for single hand – Spey casts can be used in single hand
casting situations & give you more ability to present the fly in difficult situations.
• No better way to swing a fly for steelhead and salmon.
• Spey cast for inland trout? Bass? Carp? Oh yeah baby!
• Really looks cool; impresses your friends.

excitement generated watching a monster brown come up from his lair and snatch an artificial fly. Maybe it’s the challenge of the right cast, the right presentation,
the right fly -
